What is the weight and height limit?

Height range is 4’10” to 6’2″ with a maximum weight of 250lbs.

What are the dimensions of the WalkPort?

Who will show me how to use it?

There are videos available on how to use WalkPort.  There is also an owner’s manual that will provide step by step instruction.

How much does the WalkPort weight?

160 pounds

What are the electrical requirements for the WalkPort?

This product operates on standard U.S. household power: 120 VAC, 60 Hz. It must be connected to a properly grounded electrical outlet. No special wiring is required.

Is the WalkPort safe?

Yes. The WalkPort is designed with user safety in mind and is manufactured using applicable safety standards. When used as instructed and under the guidance of a healthcare professional (if recommended), it is safe for its intended use.

Where can I see and try it?

We are currently selling direct online.  You can purchase and return within 30 days if it does not work for you.  Please go to the Return Policy for full details.

Do I need a prescription?

If you do not routinely engage in standing therapy or supported walking, a prescription is recommended.
As with any new walking or mobility therapy, always consult your physician or healthcare provider before starting.

Do I need to be connected to the internet?

No, Wi‑Fi is not required to use WalkPort. However, without an internet connection, your session history will not be saved, app updates will not be received, and some app features will not be available.

Can I move the WalkPort?

It is not recommended to move once you have it placed where you want it.  If you must move it, always have assistance.  

How often should I use WalkPort?

To see the best results, you should use your WalkPort daily. Always consult your physician before beginning any standing and walking program.

Do you provide customization of the WalkPort?​

No, there is no customization at this time.

What should I do if my App stops working?

Please contact Customer Service at support@walkport.com or call 952-855-1001.  Remember you can still use the WalkPort if your app stops working.

Do I need Wi-Fi to use WalkPort?​

No, Wi‑Fi is not required to use WalkPort. However, without an internet connection, your session history will not be saved, app updates will not be received, and some app features will not be available.

How many people can register in the app at my home?​

There is no limit to the number of people who can register in the WalkPort app. Each user will have their own unique username and password.
Be sure to log into your personal account before starting a walking session so your activity is saved correctly in your individual history.

Do I need to set up a profile?​

No, completing the user profile is optional. However, if your profile is not completed, your walking sessions will not be saved, and you will not have access to several app features.

What data does the app collect?​

The app collects the information you choose to provide in your user profile, along with data generated during your walking sessions. This includes standing time, walking time, number of steps, steps per minute, and average steps per minute.

Can I sync other devices that collect my blood pressure, etc?​

No, not at this time.

Can I download the app to my phone?​

No, the app is directly linked to the sensor on the WalkPort that collects the data.

If I set up a profile is my information secure?

Your privacy and security are important to us. While there are inherent risks in sharing personal information—whether in person, over the phone, or online—Medthera takes appropriate precautions to protect your data.

We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption and firewall technology, to help prevent unauthorized access and misuse of your personal information.

Will insurance pay for it?

Insurance may cover WalkPort, depending on your individual plan and medical need. If you’d like to submit a request to your insurance company for potential full or partial reimbursement, you will typically need to provide a prescription, a letter of medical necessity from your physician, and product information.

Do you accept credit card payments?

Yes, we accept Visa and MasterCard.

Do you have a financing option?

Yes. We offer financing through Affirm. Affirm allows qualified customers to pay over time with clear, upfront payment terms and no hidden fees. To see if you qualify and view available payment options, simply select Affirm at checkout and complete their application. Approval and terms are determined by Affirm.

Do you have a rental program?

No, we do not have a rental program at this time.

How long does it take to get my WalkPort once I order it?

Shipping & Assembly

How is it shipped?

How long will it take to get after I order?

Is it hard to assemble?

Initial orders will be eligible for white glove service.  

Where should I put it?

WalkPort should be placed in an area with easy access to a standard electrical outlet. Choose a location that provides sufficient open space for safe use and allows for proper clearance around the device. The area should be level, stable, and free of obstacles, making it easy to get on and off the device comfortably.

What do I do if the package is damaged when it is delivered?

If your WalkPort package appears damaged upon delivery, please do not install or use the device. Take photos of the packaging and any visible damage, then contact our customer support team at support@walkport.com as soon as possible. We’ll help assess the issue and guide you through next steps, including repair or replacement if needed.

What is the warranty?

It is located on the base under the seat.

Affiliate Program

What is the WalkPort Affiliate Program and how does it work?

The WalkPort Affiliate Program allows approved participants to earn commissions by referring customers to WalkPort.com. After you apply and are accepted into the program, you’ll receive specially tracked links, such as banners, widgets, or text links, to share on your website or other approved platforms.

When someone clicks your affiliate link and makes a purchase on WalkPort.com within 30 days, that sale is credited to your affiliate account, and you earn a commission on the order.

How do you become an Affiliate?

It’s easy to get started. Just submit an affiliate application, and we’ll review it. You’ll hear from us within two business days regarding approval.

Who can become an Affiliate?

Affiliates must be current WalkPort users who are familiar with the product and its benefits. Applicants should also operate family‑friendly social media channels or platforms that align with WalkPort’s values. All affiliate applications are reviewed, and acceptance is subject to approval by WalkPort.

Can I become an affiliate if I live outside the USA?

At this time, we are only accepting applications from people living in the USA.  

Are there any fees or costs associated with becoming an Affiliate?

No, there is no charge to join the WalkPort Affiliate Program. It is free to sign up, and free to add banners, widgets and links to your site. You are responsible for all costs associated to your site.

Does WalkPort have a dedicated Program Manager I can contact for more questions?

What is the commission?
  • Affiliates earn 3% commission on net sales for products sold and shipped in the US when your link is used.
  • Net sales exclude taxes, shipping, handling, returns, and refunds.
  • A commission is earned only when:
    • A user clicks your affiliate link, and
    • Completes a purchase within 30 days.
  • Affiliates are responsible for proper link setup and tracking.
How do I keep track of my sales and commissions?

How often are commissions sent out?

Commissions are paid monthly on the 15th of each month and are calculated based on the previous month’s net sales. Net sales do not include returns, sales tax, or shipping and handling charges.

What happens if a customer I referred returns a product?

If a customer returns a product for a refund, or if credit card charges are reversed due to a dispute or credit card fraud, your account will be debited for any commission earned on that transaction.

A cookie is a small piece of data that is transferred to a computer in order to mark it for a later transaction. Affiliate programs use cookies to track customers who have clicked on links from your site and made purchases so you can get your commission.

The cookie length is 30 days.  You get credit for any order within 30 days of the original click placed by a customer.

Yes, we recommend you think of the placement that would be most appealing to potential WalkPort customers and place creative to promote the highest click-through and conversion possible.

Can I use WalkPort graphics and content from the WalkPort website?

The entire WalkPort website and content are protected by copyright.  You may use images and content from our website in the promotion of our products on your own website, however all images must be used in the sale of the product through the Affiliate Program and attributed to us.

We had the privilege of trying out Medthera’s new WalkPort machine for 30 days. First look at this product had me amazed at how compact it is, while adding more natural leg action into the design that can easily be adapted from a 6-foot patient to my 5-foot 2-inch wife. My wife, LuAnne, has been in physical therapy for 36 months. In that time, we have used 3 different styles of machines, most of which required one or two therapists to get her into. One took over 20 minutes to go from wheelchair to harness to the machine. Once in, one of the therapists would control the speed while the other would make sure LuAnne was OK and, in some cases, moving her leg. WalkPort does a fantastic job of addressing all the problems I have seen in the current style of machines on the market today.

The 3 area’s that I feel make it stand out.

1. The design is so easy to adjust to fit the patient. Once set up, the patient can do as much of the transfer from the wheelchair to the WalkPort as their disability will allow. In our case, LuAnne can roll up to the machine and get into the seat on her own. We have to position her right leg, which is paralyzed, into position and secure her foot. Once that is done, she can get herself to a standing position and start the motion of walking with no assistance from us. This allows her to walk for around a half hour quite easily.

2. The motion of the legs, knee and ankle is so close to actual walking movement, helping her re-establish the motor function of walking in her brain. The muscle gain and stamina were rather noticeable every day with major improvements over the course of our time with WalkPort. Towards the end of our 30 days, we had to limit LuAnne to an hour in the evening sessions as she was enjoying it so much.

3. The last and probably most valuable aspect is the attitude/excitement LuAnne expressed. She was incredibly proud of the work she was doing, especially how much of it she could perform unassisted. She always had a bright smile on her face when using the machine. She had gained such a boost in confidence while doing her exercises, from maneuvering around the machine on her own, to holding a standing position, to starting the motion of walking without assistance. She was very empowered seeing how much progress she was making on her own.

The size of this machine is about one-third the size of the other machines we had tried in the past. The first day we were introduced to the machine, LuAnne was in it and walking on her own within minutes. No motors controlling her stride. The enjoyment we saw on her face was so nice to see. Something else my daughter noticed was LuAnne walking forward for a while, then stopping and starting to walk backwards. I am not a therapist, but this seems to be a big deal to me.

In the end, LuAnne was able to gain muscle in her right leg and increase her stamina. We are still working on her walking on her own, but I am sure using this machine will reduce the time it will take to get to the next level of recovery.
